Let’s start the day, and what better way to kick it off than by getting your daily dose of Music Quotes and Coffee. It’s Thursday, February 20, 2020. “Keep your cool”. We all have seen it, the star player that gets the ball with a few seconds left in the clock. He is calm, poised and with the confidence that he is going to make the shot and win the championship for his team. We can immediately imagine that player is Michael Jordan, Tom Brady, Joe Montana or many other stars.

You can see it in your eyes. You can see how cool and relax they are. But if you look at their other team players, they might not be that calm. But it takes a leader, to make them feel secure and sure that they will win. In times of extreme pressure, you have to remain cool, even when those around you (your teammates, your workers, your kids, etcetera) are not.

Today’s quote is from Admiral McRaven. He had a very laureate career and became to recognition as he was instrumental in leading the team that killed Osama Bin Laden. His commencement speech in 2014 for the University of Texas in Austin became viral, and if you haven’t seen it, it means that you probably been living under a rock (near Osama?). The speech is something that I go back from time to time when I need motivation.
