Let’s start the day, and what better way to kick it off than by getting your dose of Music Quotes and Coffee. Today it’s Monday, December 23, 2019. One more Monday and the year is over.

This morning I woke up to the news that Ram Dass had passed away. He was one of the most influential people from the LSD era. He wrote one of the most interesting books I had ever read: “Be Here Now”. So when I heard about his passing I went and looked for a couple of quotes that I could use for today, and this one caught my attention.

“As long as you have certain desires about how it ought to be you can’t see how it is.”

There are times that we wish things were different than they are. But when we hold on to what should be, instead of what is, we struggle, and if we struggle we can’t make progress. So as we enter the final stretch of the year, we must flow more and resist less. We must understand that we first recognize that there is an issue in order to improve it. So as Ram Dass used to say: Be here now.
