Let’s start the day, and what better way to kick it off than by getting your dose of Music Quotes and Coffee. Today it’s Monday, October 14, 2019. For the last 3 years, I have been studying the stoic philosophy as a way to learn to be more resilient, to be more grounded and to understand that things are not inherently good or bad. They just are.
It’s been an interesting journey because we can at a certain level understand what the Stoics meant, but it’s hard to put it into practice. So if you are interested in this path, I strongly recommend that you read the Daily Stoic by Ryan Holiday. Another great book is “Meditations” by Marcus Aurelius or the Tao of Seneca by Tim Ferriss. All 3 will help you get started.
“A Stoic is someone who transforms fear into prudence, pain into transformation, mistakes into initiation, and desire into undertaking.”
Nassim Nicholas Taleb
