Let’s start the day, and what better way to kick it off than by getting your dose of Music Quotes and Coffee. Today it’s Thursday, September 26, 2019. Week 4 of the NFL kicks off today.

I was recently writing about recognizing that we might not be yet where we want to, but we must make a pause and recognize how much we have accomplished. It’s an exercise of recognizing that there might be a long way to go, but it helps in putting in perspective everything. It is also an exercise of gratitude. And then today as I was preparing to go to the gym I ran across this quote and it made me realize that most of the things that I have accomplished so far are things that at the time seemed impossible or far fetched.

So as I say to my sons, recognize that you might have a long way to go, but if you keep working and keep practicing and getting better, you will eventually reach your goals. Don’t look at how much more it will take, just enjoy the journey and trust the process.

The reason why people give up so fast is because they tend to look at how far they still have to go, instead of how far they have gotten.”
